First, I appreciate you being here, and for being interested in wanting to know more about me, wow! I will try not to bore you-- nonetheless.

I’m Ashlee, an Oahu-based photographer. I specialize in candid, storytelling images for families and couples who want something real—not staged, not overly posed. I’ve been photographing since 2014. And over time, my approach has gotten simple: if it feels forced, it doesn’t belong in the frame.

My sessions are relaxed. Playful. Guided by connection instead of direction.

We play games. Make silly sounds. Move. Dance. Let kids lead.

If they want to run in the sand—we build sandcastles.

If they’re shy—we turn it into play until they forget to be shy.

There’s no pressure to perform. Just space to be yourselves.

I’m a mother of four, so I get it. Forced smiles only belong in yearbooks.

Kids don’t sit still. Emotions shift fast. And honestly, the best moments usually happen in the middle of the chaos anyway.

That’s what I look for.

Clients often tell me the same thing—that the session felt easier than they expected. That I felt more like a friend than a photographer.

That matters. Because trust is what lets real moments happen.

And when people relax… everything changes. The images become honest. emotional. alive.

What I hear most is relief.

Relief that they didn’t have to manage their kids perfectly.

Relief that the chaos didn’t “ruin” anything.

Relief that even in the unpredictability, something beautiful was still captured.

That’s parenting. That’s life. That’s what I document.

I’m based in Hawaii and work across Oahu and the surrounding islands. I photograph weddings, elopements, births, newborns, and families—often for visitors experiencing once-in-a-lifetime moments, and for locals wanting to preserve everyday life here.

My work isn’t about perfect stillness.

It’s about movement. emotion. connection.
